Leonie Reading

Leonie is the founder and owner of Coastal Esthetique, bringing more than 20 years of nursing and midwifery experience to the field of aesthetic medicine. Her career has been built on a commitment to clinical excellence, lifelong learning and delivering personalised, evidence-based patient care. Leonie graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) from Central Queensland University in 2003 before gaining extensive experience across regional, rural and remote Australia. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in hospitals across Queensland and Western Australia, including Rockhampton, Cairns, Kununurra, Bunbury and Royal Darwin Hospital, where she gained experience in Emergency, Medical, Surgical, Palliative, Paediatrics, Neonatal and Midwifery care. Driven by a passion for women's health, Leonie returned to university to complete a Diploma of Midwifery through Curtin University of Technology in 2011. Following the birth of her two children, she continued her career in Bowen, caring for women and families across antenatal, postnatal, labour and birth services. In 2023, Leonie combined her extensive clinical experience with a passion for aesthetic medicine, completing comprehensive aesthetic training before opening Coastal Esthetique in July 2024. She continues to pursue advanced education, including training with internationally recognised cosmetic physicians, an advanced cadaver anatomy course for cosmetic injectors, and advanced skin science education. Leonie is also a proud member of the Cosmetic Nurses Association. Passionate about achieving natural, balanced results, Leonie believes exceptional aesthetic outcomes are achieved through a combination of clinical expertise, artistic judgement and treatments supported by scientific evidence.
